I completely agree.
Keeping things in perspective for the casual camper with a little dry campin on the side those Sam's club/Costco GC's are an excellent buy. If you only get 3 or 4 seasons out of em you're still way ahead of the curve for the cost.
Even for the occasional boondocker a set of 4 will keep your rig fed quite nicely. If you take care of them it's not at all unreasonable to get a good 5-7 years out of em.
Those RV/Marine hybrids with 40-90 ah's you generally find in new rigs from the dealer are the ones that get me. Talk about skimping..
Barely worth hauling them in for a core credit.
