What was you MSRP?

I know that MSRP can be somewhat dealer subjective in the RV market. But, if you don't mind my asking, what did your Berkshire sticker out at?

The new old stock XL 41L' unit we are looking at has a MSRP of $321,900 plus or minus a dollar or two. The options are ceramic plank wood look flooring, electronic safe and something else that slips my mind but of little cost , oh yea, it's the washer and dryer stacked unit.

Dealer is asking $149.000 after a discount of $172,900 plus TT and L.

Is the MSRP, FACT or FICTION?

When we were looking for our 2016 The MSRP would vary some but not what I comsider a whole lot. The price look like a bargain to me.

I have done a lot of research on RV pricing over the years. I truly believe that the MSRP on RVs are some of the most inflated numbers that consumers see when attempting to purchase anything. It almost seems as though inflating those numbers is a badge of honor for RV manufacturers. I don’t know of anyone that has paid anywhere close to MSRP on an RV (especially class As). All that being said, the deal you mentioned above does look like a good price to me. I have found the “old stock” new units are often a great way to go price wise. I have bought 2 that way (one fifthwheel and one Class A). Best of luck!

My biggest concern that I have that this point is with the Air Conditioning. Will those 2 15K units be able to do the job of cooling down and keeping it cool and comfortable?

The MSRP price list is actually set by the Mfg and is subject to change through out the year as base options change. You may notice half way through a model year they may start including a "Mandatory Package". This is a good for them to make more money selling the same product without raising the Base MSRP. Unlike with a car, you're not likely to know the published Dealer invoice pricing so the MSRP is the closest thing you've got to help level the playing field. You can check a sale price with its list of options against the MSRP prices and pretty much figure out how much each option adds to the sales price. My first step is to obtain the MSRP base, package and options list.

MSRP is Fiction .... all the shopping/pricing we did we saw between 25 and 35% below MSRP really hard to compare because dealer inflate their MSRP to what they want ... did build sheets and the price difference between options was big and some had add on's for delivery/prep .... we bought from a national wholesale rep, her pricing was so much better I kept asking what other fees were not included she assured me that the quote + sales tax + prep was it ... we ordered it 6 weeks later showed up at dealer in Tampa price was exactly as promised. Best major purchase we have ever made, pricing was as much as 15,000 less than MSRP and 2000 better than next best price.

Pends on where you are and what time of year. I personally think no, but maybe someone with common sense will chime in.

To ac's are going to struggle in the Texas heat. I live here and I can tell you it's tough.

Rv price is like furniture msrp. Can het 20 to 30 percent off msrp
