Windshield molding alternative

Recently had my windshield replaced. The molding application doesn’t seem to be a simple straight forward process. The glass guy has done two different kinds and neither appears as neat and good as what the factory had done.

Been talking with Duncan RV in Elkhart since they handle factory issues. They have indicated a good alternative is a flush mount look. The small gap around the glass is filled with UV resistant polyurethane. Some paint touch up may be required

Anyone had this done?

I had them re-do it until it was right... third time was a charm! Good luck. Can they show you a photo of the flush mount... just curious.

our new Berk had a rock chip from transit so they put in a new windshield and yes they did a terrible job on the gasket around the windshield! Clear silicone helps, but it does show.

I did this myself. Got tired of dealing with the glass shop and their excuses.
