Wiring Harness Issue

FYI: Berkshire owner info -

I just had to replace all wiring harnesses for all my gauges.... If you lift that removable section on the dash and you have WHITE wires running all over in there, you need to be aware that they are suggesting you replace them with newer heavy duty black wiring harnesses...

Reason - white wires tend to loosen at plug ins which causes gauges to go nuts (my air pressure gauges started showing ZERO air pressure)...

Quick, easy fix tho.... Just thought u might want to know this....

Mine is an 08 and FL service center tech contacted FR help center and that's what he was told.... In newer rigs, this may have already been addressed....

I have the same white wires going to all of my gauges. Was there a part number from FR? What was the cost? Thanks for the heads up...

I miss spoke in earlier post - tech called the Freightliner Help line NOT the FR one.... My bad....

Each wire had its own part number and I believe there were 8 different wires.... Parts cost was not bad at all - $160.00...Labor was $257.00.... So got it done for a tad over $450.00.... BUT all gauges are working perfectly now....

I'd give the Freightliner Help Line a call and they can tell you all parts numbers.....

MDR - I believe he means Freightliner when using FL, not Florida.

I had my dash gauges go crazy driving to elkhart Sunday! My ABS light came on, check brake warning, check engine warning, check transmission warning. Both RPM and MPH gauges went to zero then back again. Is this the same issue?
