I went to best buy and bought a $99 24" led TV and then bought a $15 100w inverter from radio shack to run it. I don't believe you need to get a 12v TV specifically anymore. Technology is really moving quickly and the stuff is cheap as chips!

We bought the 24 " Polaroid (TDAE-02419) from Canadian Tire TV/DVD combo and was surprised it was a 12V TV that came with a 120 V adaptor. I think around $200.

I like the 12 volt units

I like having our 12 volt TV the best
nice not to have to depend on shore power or a converter
the Supersonic brand has done us very well

Thinking outside of the box, maybe use your (existing) laptop for watching DVD's if large enough? Also I think you can get TV video inputs on some laptops or an external adapter to watch TV on the laptop?

get a pure sine wave inverter, the msw can produce back ground noise!

uses a lot less 12 volts
if using a straight 12 volt TV
without having to also run an inverter

= much more watching TV time
and
more 12 volt use for other things needed

Does this mean... The inverter/ tv combo uses less battery or a true 12V tv combo uses less battery?
Thx Mountianman
