Question 12 volt tvs

Just took ownership of a new 2014 Forest River, 27 foot Freedom Express. The TV input is 12 volt DC, but it will only work when plugged into 120 AC. The TV must have a converter which goes from 120 to 12 volt. The first question I have is: why or what do I need to run the TV on 12 volt? The second question I have is: where is the fresh water filter? Thanks for all your help out there. GREG

Hey Greg welcome to the forum.
Congrats on your new forest river!
I hope I can help a little bit.

My old flagstaff tvs ran only on 12v not 120v
So I'm wondering if your tv is trully a 12v tv.

Your water filter will be right next to or very close to the water pump.

In my previous flagstaff it was hidden in a false door near the floor.
You had to remove two screws to remove panel and get on the floor to deal with the filter.

Two of my TVs are 12v but are then plugged into power supplies that are plugged into the 120v outlets. If you want to use them on 12v, you need to connect them to a 12v outlet, which is probably not wired into your RV. Perhaps your dealer can make that modification for you.

Why do you think you have a water filter?

We have a 12 volt Panasonic that came with the 110 power supply AND a cord to plug into the 12 volt receptacle.
