2 water heaters...HELP

Ok. So we purchased a used 2005 Cherokee Lite 28A in December. We have slowly been getting it ready for our first trip in a couple weeks. We have 2 water heaters. We have the Suburban which was installed by the builder and an Atwood which the previous owners must have put in. I am so scared to try to run them because of multiple reasons:

1. On the control panel (where it tells you your holding tank info, and pump switch is located) the water heater on/off switch was removed completely.
2. I crawled/slithered into the storage compartment to the back of the water heaters and the Atwood is plugged into a 110V plug which has wires going up into the trailer's wall. The suburban has a power cord just handing there not plugged in at all.
3. I see no bypass valves or anything like that, just metal wire tubing for all the water areas. I don't know if the water heater are both hooked up or just one or if they will even work...

I will post photos so you all can see what I am talking about.

that water heater switch on the panel is for Gas operation

Make sure there is water in the water heater before turning on - there should be a switch that you can turn on the water heater when you flip the outside door down (Suburban for sure not sure about the attwood)

from the pictures - you got a mess

I would get the Model's off of each unit and try and download the install / how to instructions for each unit and compare the install notes to make sure they look like they are hooked up right.

your pictures are hard to blow up cause they are small when you click on them

I was thinking I need to have a professional look at it. I think the previous owner wired one of the tanks to an external extension cord 3 prong and the other is plugged into an outlet that is wired into the wall of the trailer, but is inaccessible because he blocked the entrance to the undercarriage storage compartment with the additional water heater. I am truly afraid to mess with them. I did download the manuals, and both have switches that the owner should wire to and install. That was not done and the original switch from Forest River was removed off the control panel. {sigh}
