2010 FR Lexington Back Up Mirror Help

On our last trip which we enjoyed very much, the back up camera in the mirror would not come on in reverse, nor by pushing the cam button on the mirror. Also the direction compass and temp work. Only problem is the temp reading is always in the 100 degrees range when on. Direction is correct.

We found out if we did not mess with the drivers side door when it did come on it would stay on until the RV was turned off and then you repeat the same process again on start up if it comes on.

This is a 255DS GTS model and I contacted FR for help and was told that some of these applications were routed through the windshield post, driver side to the engine compartment. Others, people wired wrong from the factory, went the same route but to cover at the bottom of the DS door and caused the misleading temp reading. I assume this is the way mine is because of the temp readings always being in the 100's.

Finally the question is, has anyone else had this problem? Is there a manual for these mirrors and how they are wired? How did you correct it or just replaced it completely.

When the camera works the picture is good with no interference.

Thank you and looking forward to the replies before tearing into this issue. I use the camera all the time.
