Why is the in-dash Jensen DVD/Navigation head-unit hooked up to where it will only work when the coach's batteries knob is turned on? When we start the RV to take it out no sound comes out to the front door speakers and the head-unit won't go on unless that knob is turned on. When the knob is on we can only hear music through the coach's surround system throughout the coach but none through the front door speakers.

Makes no sense. It should work fully without the house batteries turned on. Check the equalizer to be sure the sound isn't set all to the back. Also be aware of the mute function of the on/off switch. Once turned on, if pushed again it mutes then pushed again it unmutes (useful for personal conversations, non-Bluetooth connected phone calls, or when speaking with the state trooper....).

That's what we said. We used the fader and mute button but to no avail. The radio only turns on when the house batteries are on. I'm actually very unhappy with that

You are saying it won't go on with the battery switch off even when the key is in position 1 or 2? (Off being position 0) Does the in-dash Jensen unit go on (knob lights up green and screen boots up)? I ask because your original post says when you take the RV out, no sound comes out.

You don't have one of those A-B-C speaker switches, do you?

actually, I believe that it was set up that way from the factory. The radio/nav unit is also the DVD player for the tv. That way, the setup works without turning on the key for the cab. Turning on the key uses a lot of battery for different things and could possibly drain the chassis battery.

I checked ours today and the in-dash Jensen works on either key only or house battery only.
