2018 Rockwood 8299BS - IRV?
Just took delivery of the subject fifth wheel camper. Can someone tell me how to gain access to the back of the IRV 35 radio system? I want to hook the tv output audio to the stereo system.

In my 2015, the face plate is just a couple of clips that you have "bend" to get it off.
Then there are 6 screws behind that to get the unit out.

Found what I needed... Both ends of the face plate on the IRV 68 come off. This exposes the screws that secure the unit. Was able to use the digital audio out of the tv to the optical port on the back of the IRV 68.

I really like the floorplan of the 8299BS. One question for you. Rockwood used to provide a shelf under the TV where you could put a satellite receiver. It looks like they eliminated that shelf now. So where would you be able to put a satellite receiver without that shelf?

There is a shelf below the IRV. However, it is only as wide as a DVD case. My directv box is over 9"x14". I called Directv and they are sending me a smaller receiver.
On to the next problem... where the heck do I mount the towel rack and the toilet paper holder in the bathroom? The towel rack is wider than any wall in the room. It will fit on the back of the door, but I am afraid to screw into a hollow core door. I don't know how wide the frame inside the door is.

Thanks. Unfortunately, Canadian satellite service providers don't offer a receiver that narrow. The smallest one is about 10" deep. I was wondering what's behind the panel at the back of that narrow shelf.

Is there a fireplace below it? If so remove it and take a look, probably lots of room

Fireplace below. Behind it is a thin piece of paneling. Behind that is an outside storage compartment. It is triangular in shape and kind of small.
