Out this weekend and of our microwave died in mid-use. Checked fuses and reset breaker, but no luck. Thought I'd try plugging it directly to an extension cord to test. Unfortunately, I can only assume the plug is actually behind the mounted microwave. I'd have to pull the microwave out to test it.

Is that correct or am I missing something here?

Happened to us while plugged into shore power without surge protection. Totally died after a few minutes of use. Then, after several minutes it turned back on and we could use it again before dying (entire thing went dark).

We're assuming it was inconsistent power at the pedestal because I was able to run it just fine at home. Try a different power source to make sure sure you eliminate that issue first.
