2nd A/C on 30 amp connection?
DW just asked me this. Since we have no experience with 5'er (on order), I don't know. I assume.........but not sure.
If we are at a site with only 30 amp connection (like Goshen, e.g.), at night can we run the Zone 2, or second, a/c unit without running the first? I assume they run independently but without direct experience I can't answer for sure.
??
Thanks.

Yes they are individually controlled by separate thermostats.

One at a time. Use the main during the day, then turn it off, turn on the bedroom at night.

30 amps may be pushing it to run them simultaneously though.

Oh, I'm sure of that. That's why I asked if I can run bedroom at night, only. Then run main a/c at day only. If at all...........may not even be needed, but I just didn't know if it was do-able.

Thanks.
Sometimes I'm sorta afraid to ask some things........feel sorta goofy due to lack of experience. But what I've learned here, how I've been helped, is pretty special.....
Thanks again.

Ask away!
The worst that can happen is a big fight about opposing opinions, a few posts deleted, and some warning pm from admin. Am I right? Lol.
Kidding.
It's good to ask. Just be mindful of some of the opinions. Don't take everything at 100% correct.

No Problem at all.
I have only 30 amp trailer and running 1 15k btu taxes the park socket. I use a 50 to 30 amp dogbone.
There are some 50 amp to 30 amp and separate 20 amp dogbanes. You can run 2 AC on these as long as the Bedroom is bellow 13,000 btu. You need 30 and 20 plugs to make this work.

We've had 50 AMP trailers and now 5th wheel and I've always called 30AMP the or power. we have a 30amp portable gen for when we dry camp.
You can run 1 or the other A/C or the microwave or the hair dryer or the coffee pot, you can only run one at a time.

Alternate AC
Too bad you can't set the AC's to automatically alternate. Is there any way this can be done with zone control?

On 30 amps I run the bedroom AC when I am watching TV up front in my motorhome and the front AC when I am sleeping. Lot quieter that way.
