30 amp to 50 amp connection

My FR 2400 class C came with a 30 amp cord with connector and I may run into a park that has only a 50 amp source. What do I need to safely use my system on a 50 amp connection. Will I burn up anything?

I keep two adapters ion miner, a 15-30 and a 50-30.

I use the 50-30 a lot. When we pull into a park, if the parks 30 amp connector is flaky, I use my adapter and plug into the 50 amp outlet.

safe over sorry

The problem with a rv is that you do travel around and hook into power sources that you take on faith.... There are more potential problems then just amps to worry about.

Get some protection, I use a progressive EMS-PT30C, but use something... some 15 to 30, or 50 to 30, or even poor quality 30 amp service is not a good thing and can cost you more then the protection... A good electrical filter will not let poor quality or wrong power in the coach....

That's what you need. I would suggest checking on Amazon - never CW as they charge an arm and a leg for them. I actually bought my last one at the RV shop in Tampa a couple of years ago for about 1/5 of what CW was selling a lesser quality one for. If you decide not to go with the dog bone style, I would say to look for a quality product like Progressive Industries and spend a little extra for it.

If everything is wired correctly on the pole and in your MH, No damage will occur.

IMPORTANT - Circuit breakers are there to protect the distribution system, NOT The load. If you plug a crappy small cord that has a short in it into the 50 amp outlet, The cord will probably melt down before that 50 amp breaker pops.

Inspect your equipment for damage.

We all answered the question you posted sharing what we use in our RV's assuming you would understand that we would not damage our trailers using these items. Buy a dogbone adapter as posted above and get a Progressive Industries RV Surge and Electrical Protection industry lea. This is all you will need to protect your electical system.
Shop around for a better deal.

The 30 amp breaker in the trailer should provide downstream protection
