Yes you can plug a 50 amp RV into a 30 amp outlet with an adapter. You will only have 30 amps split between the two hot legs. You will only be able to run one AC at a time.

Absolutely utilizing an adapter, but you are going to be limited in what you can use in the new 50 amp RV.

Let me get you some links to read.

These links may help in understanding 12000 watts capability (120/240 volt split phase 50 amp) vs 3600 watts capability (120 volt 30 amp). The first link also explains the adapter needed to plug into the 30 amp outlet.

EDIT: Looks like wmtire just beat me to it.

As mentioned above, yes. Here's something to remember, though, that may not be known or explained to you. The difference between 30A and 50A service isn't 20A, it's 70A. Why? Because 50A service is 2x 110v legs with 50A each for a combined total of 100A. 30A service is 1x 110v leg for a total of 30A.

This means you'll have 70% less current available to your trailer, if it has a lot of electric appliances then having everything working reliably on 30A service may be a challenge.

So, you really need to figure out how much current is needed to power everything you want at the same time. If the stove/oven are LP gas and not electric then you should be OK, I've only seen motorhomes going the electric stove route so far. So as mentioned that would mean only running one A/C at a time and watching out for doing things like running a coffee maker, toaster oven, hair dryer, etc at the same time.
