5.1 Surround Sound?

My Rockwood Windjammer 3029W supposedly has 5.1 surround sound controlled with the iRV 66. I'm not doubting that I have 5.1 surround sound, but where can I find the sub-woofer and how do I adjust its volume?

Are the Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound systems installed in the Rockwood Windjammers a true 5.1 system?

Bruce

I've got the same setup. Don't think the sub woofer is separately adjustable. Could be wrong. However in the TV AUDIO mode you can adjust TV volume independently, Mine had a helluva buzz or hum around vol. 22 which was pretty annoying. Dealer didn't really get it taken care of. I installed an OIS cable between the Toshiba TV and the iRV66 for about $6. If you do that...set the SRC button to OIC/OCC INPUT. You will get all the volume you will want and you can bring up the toshiba volume to create a variable degree of reverb to sound like a concert hall. Neat effect!

Yes to is true 5.1 surround sound.

I cannot speak to "where" the sub woofer is mounted as that changes from RV to RV. I would ask the dealer to find out for you.

Sometimes the area mounted is not ideal and a quick mod may resolve, but first lets find out where it is!

Let me know if the dealer cannot find out and I will call the factory.

Bob,

How about the sub-woofer volume? Does the iRV 66 allow for it to be adjusted?

There is no independent sub control, only by turning the bass up or down. I personally like the bass up...

Hello Bob quick question....Puma 30RKSS 2014.....Sub is in rear kitchen overhead cabinet. Bounces, vibrates the cabinet..kind of annoying. Anyway I was thinking about placing some type of sound deadening mat, (like what they use in autos) to place underneath the speaker. Do you have a better solution?

Any chance you can send me a picture of the location in reference to the rest of your "listening area"?
