A/C filter?

So I took off the side of my interior a/c vent to clean the vent and the filter and discovered that there is no filter in there. There is a foam filter on one side but that is not accessible, only the side with the screw that tilts down. Should there be a filter in there?

Got any pics?
What year/model/line of trailer?
"side of interior A/C vent" doesn't ring a bell... nor does the 'not accessible' part.

I now realize that a picture is worth a thousand words. The left side is accessed by turning the screw then it drops down. There is no filter on that side. The right side is the non accessible side I am referring to. Year/model/line of trailer is pretty clear in my sig line...

There should be a filter there it's your R/A. what it takes is the window unit filters. You buy it in a big piece and cut it to size.

Sorry to bother you. I couldn't see your sig line in Tapatalk on my phone.
