A/C on but no fan

I have a 2004 FR Rockwood 8285SS. The A/C worked fine last year. I turned it on for first time this year, and the a/c seems to come on, but no fan. I put it on fan only and you can here a click, but fan does not come on? Any ideas?
I have the Dometic single zone thermostat - less than one year old.

Do you have the operating instructions to look over?
The fans are 12v fans, so you need a good battery power to it. clicking would seem to indict low 12v.
For the AC to work, you will also need good 110 power.

Yes, thanks. I had just finished looking through that. (Of course I may have missed something). But the only thing I found close to my issue was the compressor time delay. That would make sense except the fan doesn't come on at all - even when set on fan only.

The battery is fully charged also. ( At least that's what my wall meter says).

I have had this problem, the fan bearings were stuck to the shaft. I pulled out the filter and reached in and turned the fan with the power off. Turn on the power and the fan worked well for many years. I hope this helps

I had thought about that. My fan is under the cover on the roof. I had thought about some wd-40 or PB Blaster and a 'hand-cranking', because to me, that's what it sounds like. Like it is getting power but something is keeping the fan from turning. There is no debris under the cover (Leaves etc..)

I used to have a similar problem when I owned a 2004 Wildcat. After the trailer sat in storage for the winter I would have to climb up on the roof, take the cover off the A/C and give the fan blade a quick spin. It would then work for the rest of the season. It helps to have someone inside to turn the A/C on when you spin the fan. I hope the solution to your problem is this simple.

Had that problem on a Cougar we once owned. Turned out to be a large wasp nest was built in the fan blades. After a good dose of wasp and hornet spray and a good cleaning all worked well.

Don't believe the ac fan is 12V, I'm pretty sure it's 110V.

I agree. I'm hoping for simple too. I'm getting ready to go up and spin shortly. As soon as my wife gets here to poosh the button.

Apparently my fan motor must be dead. Fan will not budge. After numerous attempts, and power off, power on, it started to smoke.

Now that you let the smoke out it's time for a replacement. If you are near a motor shop and time permits you could get it rewound at a $$$ savings over a new motor.

New fan motor wouldn't cost much if you install yourself.

I think a new one is around $110-120. I uust need to go back up and double check the numbers. I'm assuming that splicing will be required? I didnt see any 'plugs' at either end of the wires.

I had same problem last year went up on roof and took cover off found that mud dupers made a nest which stop fan from turning cleaned it out and fan works fine:

There is absolutely nothing in there. I wish there was. Fan is stopped solid. Cant even "muscle it" into motion.

Vise grips on shaft and start working it back and forth, it will eventually break loose.

There was a problem with some Dometic AC's a while back. You can get to the inside blower wheel from inside. Just drop the ceiling Assy. It's very easy to do . then, take out the screws holding the sheet metal plate you see above you that will expose the interior blower wheel. With the air turned off, spin the blower by hand, then try to turn on the ac. that should do it.

I have a 25.5 2008 Lexington B+. We have not needed the ac in a while and when we tried to use it the fan did not work. After reviewing the comments on this forum, I checked the fan by taking the cover off on the roof. There were several dirt dauber nests that were keeping the fan from turning. After cleaning them out and rotating the fan, ac was back to work. This forum saved me a potentially expensive repair bill.
