A/C question on our 2013 Wildwood

Our a/c is continually running and does not seem to have an auto setting. Does it ever shut off? And is it always so noisy? New purchase for us and it's the first time we have had it out.

Digital thermostat? If so, cycle to fan setting, then up or down to auto. Then back to ac.

Our A/C is not ducted so it just stays on all the time (if I turn it on). We do not have a thermostat as it is not tied into it. If this is how yours is as well, it will stay on until you turn the knob off. The compressor will just cycle on and off as needed, and yes they are always that loud..
