A/C shutting off

We just got back from a great trip out to Rushmore and the Black Hills. The last day that we were out the A/C would shut off, fan included, and not restart. I have our dometic T-stat set so that the fan will run on low at all times. When I walked into the camper and noticed that the fan/AC was not running I went to the T-stat and turned the system off, waited a couple mins and turned it back on and it worked fine. But then after a period of time I again noticed that everything shut off again, lucky it was down into the 70s so I turned the A/C off and just left the fan run and it ran normal all night long until we left in the morning.

I am not sure what is going on, I was thinking that maybe it iced up but didn't think that was suppose to happen with systems.

Anyone have any input or ideas??

It's possible that the T-stat is failing. Is it the analog or digital unit?
