Absorption Refrigerator Question?

Hello I have previously installed a couple small fans to aid with air circulation over the absorption refrigerator condenser coils. I run them when the refrigerator is working in propane mode. My question is this... if I switch the refrigerator over and run on 110v mode will running the cooling fans still help with efficiency? I am not familiar with the internal workings of LP and AC mode on an absorption refrigerator.

Thanks,
Ken

Yes. The fridge essentially works the same way on propane as it does on 120VAC. The only difference is that in one case you are using a propane flame to heat the ammonia mixture and in the other case you are using an electric heating element. Some people use temp controlled fans so they operate automatically when needed.
