Went camping first time with my Forrest River Vibe this weekend, it turn cool during the night, cut on the heat and the AC came on at the same time. I had to turn off the circuit breaker off for the AC and had trouble getting the heat to cut on. Any suggestions.

You didn't say what type of TT or system you have. If you have a fan selection of Hi/Lo/Auto (AU) then select auto. Hi or lo will make the a/c fan come on whenever the furnace runs.
As already said select AU, made the mistake of not selecting AU once...... Long story short, killed my batteries during the night as I had the inverter on and the A/C breaker was not turned off.. I always check now before turning the heat on.
Although selecting auto on the thermostat is usually the issue. If the a/c unit happens to be a new Atwood they actually run when the furnace is on to circulate air and there is nothing that can be done about it

Actually you should be able to shut the breaker off for the AC and stop the fan, if what you are saying about the Atwood is correct. It has been my experience it is the stat fan setting that controls things.

I believe on the new Atwood air conditioner thermostat the AC fan can be defeated when using the furnace for heat by holding the fan mode switch for about 5 sec. which will display FF. Could be wrong.
