AC Problem

During my last trip of the season last year I noticed the AC compressor on the roof was running without the fan blowing inside...(dometic? 13kbtu unit I think?) the thermostat was switched to off and the fan switch was in auto. At the time I switch the breaker off because I had no need for AC on that trip....is this a control problem in the unit? Like a stuck relay or bad control or something? Should I just take the time and money involved in troubleshooting and fixing this and put it towards a new AC/heat pump unit...

Electronic thermostat?
Ours did that. It goes into some sort of self destruct fault mode. I had ran it on low fan speed until the unit froze up then i let it thaw and put it on auto and it would simply run the compressor with no fan. I checked the blades and they were free. Got the owners manual and figured a system initialization might help. It did. Now that we are in another new trailer I'll not try manual fan control. Keep it on the automatic. I did do the system initialization on this one too figuring it probably was not done at install per the instructions. Below is the reset and link to the manual.
DOMETIC 3313192 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS MANUAL Pdf Download.

System Initialization: A system initialization will need to be performed by the installer after the system is installed. Make sure the Single Zone LCD thermostat is in the Off condi-tion. See page 4, "Quick Reference To Control Buttons".• Press the "+" button and, while holding it, also press and holdthe On/Off Mode button for three seconds. LCD will show― ― . Press the On/Off Mode button again to turn system off. This completes the initialization. The furnace On/Off temperature differential should be set at this time.See "Mode Description - Furnace" on page 9 for further informationon furnace mode differential setting.About Your New Thermostat
