AC question

Can Sandpiper AC's be recharged w/ freon? I'm guessing the one in the living room area is frozen up, so I turned it off. I'm too dang short to reach up there and look under the vent cover. I'll have to wait until bf gets home from work so he can look. I'm just asking because isn't low freon the main reason they'll freeze up??

It was cleaned, like 3 weeks ago, but it could still be that. I just can't reach it lol.

Low air flow or shut vents will cause freeze up.
Also a set temp set to low will cause freeze up as well.
A bad or wrongly placed frost sensor will also cause feeze up.
I've had my frost sensor fall off.
