Air Conditioner issue (SOLVED)
Hello fellow traveler's. I am nwe to this site and have an issue with my 2013 Palamino Puma 30DSQ. I have the 15k btu unit on top and it will not cut off. I set the thermostat to 75 during the day but at night i have it at about 68, live in southern louisiana, and it will not shut off at night. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I talked to where I bought the R.V. and they said that they do not have a service call out and that I would have to bring it back to them. I currently live out of the trailer, due to work, and would have to drive about 2-3 hours to get to the dealer.

Is switch on auto ? Or on ?
You might be lucky to get it to cool down to 68 degrees
Especially if it's hot and humid

In my opinion, in a humid area it is more important to "dehumidify" than cool.
In order to dehumidify, the air conditioner needs to cycle to prevent icing of the cooling fins.
In order to cycle, the Air conditioner needs to shut off.
In order to shut off the temp you set must be satisfied.
If you set the temperature no lower than 10 degrees below outside air temp you will find the air conditioner will work much better or a max of 85 degrees whichever is lower. For example if the temp is 85; set the temp to 75. If the temp is 100 set it to 85.
Setting 68 is asking too much in a humid environment.

Hello, and  to the forums. Hope you enjoy the stay, and learn a lot, and can teach others what you already know.
As for your problem, you said wouldn't shut off at night. Does it shut off during the day? By shut off, do you men fan and everything stop, (they don't work that way, the fan always runs). When it is running 11:00 pm or so, is it still blowing cold air? If not, it has frozen over, and will have to be manually shut off and wait a few HOURS on it to thaw. Sometimes switching to "fan only" will speed the process of thawing.
Just trying to determine if it is freezing up, or just doing all it will do. Remember a pop up has little insulation, and is very hard to heat or cool. There are some post on here about adding some sort of space blankets over the bed to help heat, might help cool also. Do a search on here, and see what you find.

Our fan doesn't always run, but then again, we don't have a pop up.

The fan will only run all time if the thermostat is set to Run. If it is set to Auto, it will cycle on & off when the temp is reached.

I realized wha the problem was,(feel like an idiot now), I thought it was set to Auto but it was set to on. Now it shuts off when it reaches the selected temp. DOHHH!!!
