Another Concertone Thread

Evening,
We just got back from a week long camping trip to Little Black Creek Waterpark in Lumberton, Ms. Had a great time (even if it was 100 degrees all of the time during the day) Squirrels and birds got fed (ducks too) Of course the concertone didn't perform as it should. We could only get sound through the left side speakers in the living room, bedroom and outside. I was anticipating this as I have read all of the other posts.
Anyway, got back home and I decided to pull the unit to satisfy my curiosity before taking the camper (2009 8319SS) to my dealer. Boy, what a mess of jumbled up wires. Real simple to take out - four screws. Turned it on with the unit out and lo and behold the right speakers started working. ????? Well, I could not stand the jumble of wires so I straightened them out and taped up the excess to make it look and me feel better.
Right speakers quit working ?????? I noticed a black and red wire with a ten amp fuse in it. Pulled the fuse and it shut down the unit and tv. Must be the main power line. Put the fuse back in and noticed a spot where the wires are connected to some type of junction. I don't know what it is as it is covered with a black shrink cover. But I did notice that it gets very hot at that junction. ????

I tried a DVD and both right and left speakers work but not the ones at the front of the camper (by our chairs). HMMMMM Tried the radio - found several stations and both speakers (right and left back and front work fine. Hmmm again. The TV was off all of this time. Put the unit back in the cutout and replaced the screws and outside shroud. Turned on the the and both sides of the speakers work with the tv (front and at the unit. Hmm again. Noticed that the junction wasn't as hot as it was before (warm but not hot) OK maybe the wire getting hot at that junction is what is shutting down the right speakers. I sat down and waited with the tv playing for about 10 minutes. No problems. I am stumped. Anyone got any input or have experienced this? I am going back out soon and check it again.
I wonder why I don't have sound to the front speakers when I play a DVD? Odd.

My fronts were wired to the rear speakers. Those workers in Indiana need some training before the Japanese and Chinese start building them. Not that the Chinese manufactured unit works well either. See what happened to the auto industry.
