Antenna type? Crank?

I remember reading that others had added the wingman to their antenna and I wondered what it was. Now that I looked it up I wondering what my 13' Surveyor is spec'd with? I know the wingman isn't on it but is it a winegard? Also, should it have a crank? due to the heavy snow and the cover I can't get a photo of it. thanks

The "Wingman" is just an add-on (attaches with four push-rivets) to the existing antenna. It does bring in more channels when you are in remote locations and probably worth the $27.

What about the Jack add-on from King Controls, anyone have that one. A little pricier, but sure looks spiffy.

X2

I agree that the small price for this addition is well worth the price. Added one two years ago and have not been disappointed.

Replaced the batwing with the Jack and went from 34-36 channels to 83-85 channels and never moved anything. Got a batwing I will give someone FREE for shipping.

Someone told me on another thread about the Wingman that you have to have a certain amount of clearance on your roof or your antenna with the attachment will not go down without hitting something. I can't remember the distance, but I recall thinking that it probably wouldn't work on my Surveyor 186.

Berkshireba, if you don't have a crank somewhere in your trailer, then you probably don't have a Winegard Sensar antennae. To my knowledge, all Sensars need to be extended up to use.

We have the Cherokee 284qb and can not locate the crank for the antenna. We have looked everywhere. Any ideas where it is?

It's usually right under the antenna inside. Just look on the roof to see where the antenna is.

since the Cherokee is an entry-level trailer, the antenna might be part of a tv/cable option that yours didn't come with. or you may have one of the newer non-crank antennas that are more flush to the roof.
