Even frozen bottles of water hold the cold better than the empty air that spills out everytime you open the door.

Right On Jim,,,
If we have empty space in our freezers @ home I use Qt. milk bottles filled about 3/4 with water !!! They also work well in a cooler !!!
We bought an Ice Maker a few years back,,,
I HATE paying for frozen h2o !!!

Even though I mentioned I only had ice and ice cream in the freezer this time, I should have mentioned that it was a large bag of ice that took up almost the whole freezer. So with the ice and the ice cream, the freezer was full.
