This service writer should (selling you a new refrigerator on every stop) on his business card.
Here is the reason you never believe everything anyone tells you.

When I had my 97 Chevy Silverado gas 1500-1/2 ton pickup, I was at a dealership shopping for my first rv....I asked the salesman if my truck would pull those 5th wheels. He said that my truck would pull anything on his lot. We got into my Silverado and drove away...never to return to his lot. Salesmen can sure be unethical.

fan motor

During the normal process, moisture is removed from the air and items in the refer. The fan motor inside the residential refer runs when the compressor is on. Apx 3 times in 24 hours, heaters come on in the freezer part to melt the frost build up on the coils that get cold. The water leaves the unit thru a drain. If the moisture were trapped in the refer or freezer part, with the unit not running, the fan motor could rust. I've seen this maybe 2 times since 1977.

Short answer, leave the doors cracked open when in storage.

We're full timers and pulling a 2014 Windjammer 3029W, pulling it with a 2004 F250 diesel. It does great in the Rockies. We'll be pulling out of here, central Texas, in 3 weeks and heading for a gig for the summer and fall in the Ozarks of Missouri.

I am a retired lead maintenance mechanic and for 30 years worked on large air handlers, chillers, condenser fans, evaporator fans, window a/c's, freezers, refridgerators, ice makers, humidifiers, etc. Never ever have seen one rust!
