Never had satellite but I did have att home and mobile phones for many years. What a fiasco. Customer service was non-existance.

Used to have AT&T U-Verse. It was pretty good. Now we have DirecTV and Charter Cable (30mb internet only). We did that so we could take our DVR (and recorded shows) on the road.

Hope AT&T doesn't "rock the boat" in this deal. We like it the way it is now.

ATT is good at one thing, chasis loyal customers away with non existant customer service and charging more while offering less then competitors. Verizon is about the same, most of their "value adds" are stuff they own and develope to get more of your money.

I've had DTV for close to 8 years. We've been happy customers. We've also been ATT customers for many years. ATT customer service is so so, pretty much pick your poison. Hope this doesn't screw things up either.

Anything has got to be better than Time Warner Cable. IMHO TWC = The Wrong Choice. DD has U Verse and likes it.

X2 on the Time Warner. Never again , I'll throw up some rabbit ears before I would go back to them.

I had to laugh at this.

I have Direct TV at home (and someday if my new dish shows up, DISH on the TT), and ATT for mobile phones. But when I sign onto my account to check balance or whatever for Cell Phones, the website SCREAMS at me to "BUY UVERSE". Then I enter my address and it says "Sorry, UVERSE not available out in the boonies where you live, dummy!".............

So I can foresee them forever more, when I call for Direct TV service, to say "You can't have our service, our records indicate that you're not in our area.........."

At which time I go to DISH.

Any bets how many more years before DISH merges with 'em??? I bet two.
