audio visual upgrade ideas needed

I would like to accomplish a couple of things with sound and video. I am not happy with much about what I have now.

I need help picking the best radio, adequate amp and decent speakers for my application. I don't want to blow the windows out, but like a nice sound.

EDIT: I should have added, I will do all the work and the budget is $800 - $1000

I have a Hyperlite 29HFS. The original radio (no bluetooth, etc) is in the pantry cabinet away from the TV and the TV, bluray and receiver is on the opposite living room wall also shared by bedroom, so access to the bottom is easy. Thru the ceiling, not so much.

*Build an overhead cabinet at the TV wall (see attachment)
*New bluetooth radio (control speakers and with DVD player
*Amp or Amps
*New speakers in cabinet (maybe with a small sub)
*Upgrade existing inside and outside speakers (possibly later time)
*Rewire to existing speaker locations from new cabinet
*Extend radio antenna to new cabinet
*Probably run wire to and add speakers in garage
*Probably run wire to and add speakers at the head of the bed

Of course, the TV will still be below the cabinet; the blu-ray might go away if the radio has BR... DVD probably good enough.

I would like to do some LED lighting to cabinet to step it up a notch or two.
