AWM965 loses FM

The second issue we had this weekend was with the radio.. It was working fine, then loses the FM channel signal... No matter which FM station and they will randomly come back on. If you switch to AM you can still pick up a channel there.

I checked the antenna cable and it appears solid. Removed the connector from the radio and re-installed. When removed the AM signal would be dropped. When put back in, the AM signal returns.. Then sometimes the FM would come back in a minute or 20 minutes later..

Side issue - the video seemed to be only in black and white from the dvd.. I tried swapping the yellow wire with the red and white to no avail.. What I mean is using the red for the video or white for the video on both ends and it didn't help...

Thanks!

I know that if you turn on a LED light or TV it can cause interference to the FM channel. Dont know if that is your cause but something to think about. Good luck

Thanks for the idea... I just went out and turned on every light in the trailer and never lost the FM signal... It happened with no lights on, some on, tv on, or tv off...No set pattern when it would come back...
I just asked the wife, and she doesn't remember the station loss last weekend when we were out...

One thing I did find while wiggling the antenna cable in the back was a loose splice on the + and gnd to the radio... I redid them and it didn't seem to fix it...

Little update...
Fixed the black and white issue with the DVD to the TV.. I had selected the wrong input... Once I was on the right one it was all good...

Ran the radio all weekend on the batteries and had no issues.. Could bad/dirty power have caused part of my FM loss? Seems odd that it was ok while packing up on house power and then on the batteries all weekend...
