Question Baby it's cold outside

I need to check that my furnace will work ok for an upcoming trip. I have only used the heat pump before because it has never been this cold when we camped.
I know it only works down to 40 f, does the furnace require a temperature min to come on? It is about 55 f outside but with the sun on the camper it is around 62f inside.
When we go in 2 weeks it could easily be only 30 or lower especially at night.
Thanks
D

Your furnace should work off the thermostat just like your house. Doesn't matter how hot or cold it is, it matters were you want the thermostat set. Run an electric space heater to help if you have one.

Enjoy your camping trip. We're down in Lake Conroe Texas and the temperature right now is 75°. I second what Kimber45 says. We have an electric space heater we take during cold weather. You've already paid for the electric at the campsite. You can save a little on your propane that way.

I have an electric blanket and a parabolic heater for extra warmth, plus that extra few bottles of red and white antifreeze

You can't have to many bottles of the red and white antifreeze. Just rember this "but officer it's just antifreeze, honest I am not a bootlegger" 🤣

The red and white works good inside the RV, the amber works better by the campfire late at night when it gets really cold.
