Back up cam

There is a black box mounted on the back of out trailer at the top. It says furrion on it. Is this a back up camera, and if so how does it work? Where would I see the image?

Just noticed it while washing!!
Dealer told us nothing!!!😡

That either is the camera or it is the blank cover where you can mount camera. The blank cover is put on campers that are pre wired for back up cameras.

Ok, so there could not even be a camera there. Just a spot to mount one? And if no camera, why is the furrion name on it???😳

Ours came with a pre-wired Furrion camera bracket. Climb up there and take out the 4 screws and you should have a pre-wired power connector installed. Our power is connected to the running lights.

Go to the Furrion site and look at their cameras. They have an observation camera and a back up camera. Mother observation camera has a fast refresh rate and can be used at highway speed to see what is behind you. The backup camera is just that. Slow refresh rate but good enough to for backup speed.

You can buy the Furrion observation at Amazon. I purchased the whole unit with the mounting bracket because it is cheaper than buying just the camera and monitor. Works great, really nice to see behind and when you are clear to change lanes.

Where to mount the Furrion display

The TT I'm looking at has the Furrion prep. Where are people mounting the display? I'm wondering if it would be possible to setup a mount system that puts the display on the inside rear view mirror. Seems to me that for the always on observation camera, that is a good spot for it, the mirror is useless with a trailer behind you!

Thoughts?

You can't mount on the mirror but I suction mine right behind it and it partially blocks it..
