Bench test new appliances before install

I have to give a heads up on this issue. Dometic will not allow a return of an appliance once its been installed. Many other manufacturers are the same way i imagine. Had a new dometic fridge delivered and found a little damage on the front but decided to accept anyway. After install, i discovered it had electrical issues as well. Offered the customer a 450 discount and said they could got to a warranty center or i would reinstall their old fridge. They declined the discount and now dometic wont accept a return. Maybe we've reached the time where things have to be benched before install. I have been in the rv business for 42 years, and did dometic warranty for the bulk of that time. I have several unpaid claims and no longer do warranty work for them.
