Cable to analog TV

Hi,

I have three TVs in the RV (2007 Forrest River Cardinal). Two of the TVs are digital and work fine on cable provided by the RV park.

One TV is an older analog TV. I do have a digital converter that brings in antennae signals just fine, but how can I watch cable TV on the analog TV? The digital box does not allow for cable settings nor does the TV.
thanks,
Jim

As I remember it, the input to the converter box could be either, antenna or cable and it would be converted. So, if the input to the converter is the same as the other tv's (antenna/cable) I think it should work. If not somehow you need to have a splitter installed to route the same input to the converter that the other tv's are looking at (antenna/cable) or an "A"-"B" type coax switch installed that will select either antenna or cable input to the converter. Sometimes routing and interfacing the requrement is easier said than done. Been awhile dealing with a converter box for me so I could be wrong again..

You will need a digital tuner box.

Bob is right on. You will need a digital to analog converter box with a QAM tuner. This is not a common converter as they are usually supplied by the cable company. The more common digital to analog ATSC (Over the Air - OTA) tuner is far easier to find.

This unit will fix both your Cable and OTA problem with that TV.

Of course... you may be able to find an HD set for not much more $$ and without the complexity. Walmart has a 19" for $98 bucks... and a 30" for $169... maybe it is time to make the change.
