We camped at a church with cable hook ups for 1st time this weekend. As we don't have it at home we can't test there (or is there a way)?
When we tried to use it - even when setting TV menu to search for cable channels, none were found.
Neighbor said problem was we had no selector box exterior to TVS that decides what signal goes to the tv.
If so does anyone know where it might be - I haven't found any such box
He was telling you what set up he has in his unit for specific systems and believes every unit should be the same; they're not and as I am not familiar with your unit I have no constructive input for a fix but feel confident someone with an identical unit will chime in. You'll get it sorted out.
Did you have the antenna booster off? It should be located by your inside co-ax output. It usually has a green indicator light when on, for cable, it needs to be off. On means it's boosting the tv antenna signal.
