You don't have to do anything to it to release it other than pull. It should be directly behind the center on the tv.

No, the clamp is on the left side, its underneath the nut and bolt. If you look at your last picture, the clamp is at the very far left, only some of it is in view. The clamp snaps to the plastic collar thats around the thru bolt. Heres a couple of pics of ours....

Now I see the clamp, it is almost in the center of your top picture. Thanks for all the help. BTW, we pull our camper with a 2013 GMC Sierra also.

I struggled w/this too. But pulled up from top and bottom until it popped off.

I just wanted to thank everyone that helped me with this. I pulled hard holding on to the top and bottom of the TV and it snapped loose. I could get at the back of the TV and tightened the RCACables so I can not use my DVD player in this rainy July 4th. Thanks!

YES. Everyone has been great, I do find that is the norm among people that camp.
