We have a new LaCrosse 327RES and on our third trip but only first time to use the TV antenna. After we crank the antenna up I am unable to rotate it at all.
It's been raining here in Colorado and will hopefully dry out enough this afternoon so I can look at and hopefully just lube it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated before I climb up there?
Just checking. You have rotated it before, correct. I ask because it does take some getting use to to rotate the antenna. It's not very intuitive in the beginning.
This is a new trailer and it hasn't been rotated as far as I know but, we have had another trailer so we do know how to operate it. My guess is that it's just frozen and needs to be lubed.
We had the same issue on our 5er when we got it new. After getting on the roof and checking things out it turns out someone got a little dicor happy and had applied some where they shouldn't have on the antenna. A razor blade and a few minutes of my time cleaning it up and all is well now. I'd hop on the roof and see if you don't have something similar.
My flagstaff was the same way the first time. I just kept gently rocking the knob back and forth (only moved about 1/8 inch) after a minute it popped loose and have never had a problem since.

Same with our's when new. When you get on top you will see the "caulk" that has run over on the part that rotates. With a razor knife separate the flange from the part that rotates. Easy fix
Had that problem after ours had worked for over half a year. Looked like some of the Dicor may have balled up and got into the antenna. Couldn't move it even after cleaning and lubing it a little. Finally got my wife to hold the knob down while I manually moved it back and forth a few times. Sucker popped right out after a minute and works great now.

Well folks we have a winner, and it was the dicor. It was very noticeable that they were very liberal with it all over the roof. it took a few seconds to cut it loose and it rotated freely.
