CBS all access

Anyone on here have this. I need advice. I can get it with my Netflix, I think it’s like ten bucks a month. I can use my iPhone and Apple TV to mirror Netflix and amazon prime to my tv. I believe that streaming tv shows and movies is going to put a hurt on Dish and Direct. I installed a Trav’ler satellite antenna about three years ago. Now I wouldn’t install one

I think my in-laws have it. There were a couple of shows they watched before they got rid of cable and this let them keep watching them.

You can give CBS all access a try.
They usually have a free trial period.
Used to be a month but lately it's only a week or two I believe.

I signed up for the "limited commercial" version because it was cheaper but it looked a whole lot like the same amount of commercials you get on broadcast CBS so I dropped them after the trial.

We get a lot more variety on Hulu.
They stream most of ABC, NBC and a lot of Fox, commercial free 1 day delayed. Plus lots of movies and their own shows and series.
CBS decided to go their own route and are not on Hulu but we still think Hulu is a much better deal.

As mentioned you either need a robust WYFI signal or unlimited data on a good cell phone connection.

We have CBS All Access and are pretty happy with it. I think we have 4 series that we currently watch and the live streaming channel for our area is WNCT 9 in Greenville. You should have the same since you aren't that far away....I would think the live stream would change as you travel to different geographical areas.

We cut the cable several years ago and couldn't be happier! Along with more $$ in our pockets!

In a way it is. I get 22 gigs of cellular data on each line and I have used 85 gigs on one line. I brunt up the 15 gigs of hotspot data on one phone and I have been using that phone to set up WiFi and I can mirror tv shows and movies to my tv with Apple TV. I can watch Netflix and Amazon Prime on my cell phone or my IPad. I will probably get cbs all access because of the ncis shows. All I have to do is when I call for reservations is to ask what the Verizon service like. I have the Trav’ler satellite with Direct.

My point is that it's not unlimited. It's always limited. At some point, they limit it.

We would love to cut the cable cord. We also enjoy Dish, especially since they just lowered my bill by $35 a month for two years. I just had to threaten to leave

The problem with streaming for us is that there is NO cell signal where we RV the most (Gila National Forest), and poor signal in most CGs in AZ we frequent. So Dish tailgater works well for us there.

At home, streaming would work, but to get all the channels we enjoy, the price is close to what we pay Dish anyway, so why go through the frustration of navigating all those different apps/packages.

I am enjoying watching the affects of cord cutting on the cable industry. Can't wait to see how every thing pans out

This is the exact same dilemma we face with DirecTV vs DirecTV Now.

Pricing is about the same when you add in all the channels we like to watch, coupled with the cost of whatever you'd pay for broadband good enough to stream when boondocking, along with poor internet (or lack thereof) at most campgrounds, makes keeping our portable dish/home receiver the smart choice right now.

Direct TV NOW is advertising "no satellite dish required" 60+ channels for $35.00. I haven't look into it. BUT you obviously need WIFI.

Also very much considering dumping our satellite provider in the near future. With Netflix , Hulu, and others, and just over the air channels I can get from our home location, I think it will be worth an experiment for a period of time !
