My only experience is in our farmhouse, remote area, not in a vehicle. We use the WeBoost, but make sure it boosts both 3g and 4G/LTE. There is a DirecTV guy lives close and he helped us put it in, and in his truck he has the Wilson remote cell booster, and he says it works.
Remember, there must be a signal.......however weak........for these to work. It boosts signals, it can't boost them if nothing is there.
Ours has an outside and inside antenna. The outside is shaped sorta like a big 'bullet'. It has to be pointed in the direction of the nearest tower. And the outside antenna and inside antenna have to be either 50 feet linearly apart, or 20 feet vertically apart.
I don't know how vehicle boosters work, and that's what you're asking about, but I know that if I needed one I'd get the Wilson because of our experience in the farmhouse.
That's my entire knowledge.
