Champion generators

Sorry if this has been answered but I searched and did not find it

I am looking at the 2000w inverter gens they are rated at 53db each
Does anyone know what 2 of them running together has for a sound rating?
I emailed Champion and have not received an answer in a few days so thought I would ask here

I dont' know but I had two in parallel and they weren't crazy loud. Somewhere in the middle but quieter than my duromax 4000w. If you want them to power an AC though look elsewhere. My two in parallel would only power the AC for a few hours with everything else on the breaker of my trailer shut off. If you have anything else on it wouldn't work at all. It would just flip the circuit breaker.

I had a Onan p2400 portable gen that I used to use it is rated at 2000 and peak 2400. It would run ac and everything else ended now I did shut ac off b4 using micro but never had a problem in 2 yrs until I loaned it to a buddy and he back fed 120 into it and burned the rotor up. Oh and I did monitor voltage drop on it when starting ac never hit below 115

The db on a paired setup will depend on the load....on eco these are quiet gennys...but even one ramped up considerably louder....(as are the honda and yamaha)...

Anyway, in my (non decibel meter verified) opinion two running at 50% load is not much louder than one at same load...its defiantly not 53 quite tho....

As for what they will run?...everything up to an a/c easily...when you get into a/c territory its hit and miss.....

18-20 to start and 12-14 running for a dometic.

Now a Coleman Mach may draw from 25-30 at start up.
I believe lou "herk" has this issue.

To help with this start up situation we've added a delay on the fan motors.

The a/c unit will start and get running and then the fans kick on 10-20 seconds later.

Works great and not near as hard on the gennie.

I recently bought the champion 3100 and i am pleased. Of course, I haven't had it camping yet but fired it up in my back yard. You can sit next to it and still carry on a normal conversation. I was looking at the 2000's, but the 3100 got some good reviews...

I got 2 dometic 15k on mine and start up WITH supco cap is 26amps each....and run is 13...cool great....but the only genny I have that without fail will start em is the 6500 Honda. ...others are hit and miss depending on ambient temp and altitude....
