I have a FBS230 Tracer with a Jensen radio and Vizio TV. Once I perform the auto channel scan on cable mode, I can only select a channel by entering the exact channel number. When I scan the up/down channel on the remote, the source inputs change, never the channel itself. Can anyone identify the problem?
Unsure, but possibly the TV, when in cable mode, is expecting the channel to change ONLY via a cable box or settop box. If you change the channel manually, it then must be thinking "Oh, he no longer wants to be in cable mode".
You'd think you could use the TV tuner to get whatever cable channels are available, but something is not allowing that. Have you tried another Input Mode?
On the top of the remote, if you have different buttons for DVD, TV, receiver, make sure the tv button is activated. It could be your in different "mode" and pushing the channel up or down is having a different effect than if its in TV mode. Just a thought.
