Check A/C bolts

Some time ago I read a post about checking the four (4) bolts that actually hold the A/C onto the camper/motor home. I had replaced my A/C two years ago and felt confident that I had torqued the bolts down just right. Last week while camping the A/C made a funny noise only when it was operating, well they don't usually make noises when not running do they? So I started investigating this noise today and naturally there was no noise to be heard. I removed the cover/faceplate/thing-a-ma-jig on the inside of the camper to look around. I was checking anything that I thought might be the funny noise culprit and when I grabbed one of the bolts that hold the A/C unit on it was loose, very loose. I checked the other three and they were also finger loose. This was probably allowing a vibration which I was hearing last week. I removed each one of these for inspection and they all looked to be just fine, no rust, no dis-coloration, etc. I cleaned them with some carb cleaner (outside the camper), allowed them to dry then put some removable type Loc-Tite on each one where they should be in the nuts of the A/C unit and put them back into place. Again I tightened them down to what I felt was a good "torque" and then another half-round. For the life of me I cannot understand how these bolts got loose but I will certainly be checking them more often now. I am posting this so that someone just might think and check theirs before they have a real problem.
