Circuit breaker keeps tripping

I have a 2007 forest river 8315ss travel trailer and the circuit breaker/plug combo keeps tripping.I have nothing plugged into it and it still keeps tripping.It just started this today even if i leave it off for awhile and try it soon as i push the button it trips right away.

So, it sounds like youíre referring to a GFCI outlet with the test/reset function. Keep in mind that this outlet is likely connected to others on the same circuit that will allow this outlet with the reset to trip. Try unplugging everything. If you canít resolve what is causing the ground fault, you may need to replace that outlet.

Some brands of GFCI outlets do not reset if there is no power to them, check for a tripped circuit breaker in the power center. If you don't have a tripped breaker then you might have a bad GFCI outlet. In this case you will have to replace the GFCI outlet.

GFCI outlets do go bad even when not used, I had to replace one on the side of the kitchen sink counter last summer which also fed the outlet for the tv.
