The zx 600 concertone has no TV buttons on it, that I could see. My TV that came with my unit, a Venturer 22" HDTV, has it's own remote that controls all TV functions on my camper. The ZX 600 concertone remote controls the DVD, and the radio and TV audio only functions. I don't believe there are any TV tuner functions on the ZX 600's. I went out there and looked at the remote, just to check. I think you'll need both remotes. My opinion; and I could be mistaken!! Randy

Thanks for the reply Randy! I guess I stated the question wrong, I have a satalite dish that has a remote that should be able to control everything, TV, Stereo, DVD and so forth. I was wanting the code to the concertone so that I could program it into the Dish remote so that it will controle volume and ect. No where can I find the code that you can program into the remote for it to take over the control. I can make the dish remote search for it but when I tried I was 30 min into it and gave up. Was hopeing some one knew off the top of their head what the code might be.
again thanks for your time and trouble.

I have had several different universal remotes over the years, and if I can remember correctly, they used different codes for my same TVs, leaving me with the belief that the codes are different between manufacturers of the remotes, and that the device doesn't have a "code" per say. If that is true, then the search function on your satellite remote might be your only option. Maybe 1/2 hours just ain't enough time??

Thanks I guess I will just try the search feature again. But since that time I have replaced the Venture TV with a 32" LCD and Now I can not get the DVD's to play through the new TV Man what a mess. I think it is time to just get a new system for Concertone. Speakers and all work great but the DVD's are also starting to hang up inside the player. I guess its like everyone elses its just not that good of a system.

I'm gonna guess that your -might- be able to buy a universal
remote that has "learn" functions.
Teach it to run your sat/Tv and hopefully also your concertcrap DVD.

I use Directv and finally found the code to program my remote on the Venturer TV. It is 10178. To program the remote, turn the remote away from the TV while following the instructions in the book. It will operate the on/off, and volume. However, you will still have to use the Concertone remote to operate the reciever. At least you get rid ov one of the remotes.

Forest River should take the responsible action

Forest River should contact the supplier of the Concertone Devices and request the remote codes. They chose to install them in their coaches without seeming to care about what customers need.. There is much to be said for customer service after the purchase.
I don't like having three remotes to do one thing, watch a movie on a television screen. It isn't even smart science anymore, it is actually the norm to use one remote for all audio video devices.
This is a request to forest river, give us some help here.

before I ask. Retired EOD is demolitions right? You and my bud BombDoc, but he was a Marine and we know what that means. Did you try to program the Concertone Remote? You put both remotes about 3" apart then they will copy. But it will not work with your Direct TV. I had the instructions somewhere I can try and find them if you want....Atleast that is what I remember, could be wrong...Go ARMY
