Columbus Environment Control Panel Operation

We just got our new 2017 Columbus Compass 5th wheel and don't understand how the thermostat/heating system works. It shows "Zone 1 and Zone 2" with separate temperature settings but when we turn on the heat it seems that only the "Zone 1" side controls the entire trailer. There are two AC units installed and as I understand the system they both have heat pumps and should control each individual zone if needed. When we turn on the system and connected to external power the panel shows heat, we set the different temps for each zone but only one of the AC units and the trailer furnace turns on. Am I misunderstanding the why the system works and if so what am I missing.
