I will give a positive post - I really like mine! Radio, cd player, dvd player with MP3 player input along with a memory card and memory stick reader and a remote control to boot! It is no Marantz but all the functions work very well. The new ones even have Bluetooth. My only criticism is that it doesn't have a weather radio built in. I think every camper should have one.

I like the weather radio idea as well - needs to have a button that goes straight to the weather radio

is there any model that has that option ?
- I havent seen any that I know of in any RV's

FR does NOT own Concertone. this has been discussed over and over and it still comes up. in fact, Concertone products can be found in other non-FR RVs.
and many FR divisions don't install Concertone products.

Bob Fields is a Concertone rep that posts here quite often, offering technical help and answering questions.
Concertone has way less problems with their products since he came on board and their newer stuff has way more features than any other RV entertainment system manufacturer, including Jensen.
the number of complaints, for the newer units, have dropped down significantly.

There are many positive posts about Concertone products here.

There have been many complaints about the old units as well.
Since Forum boards see squeaky wheels and not "happy campers" it is inevitable you will be freaked about their products.

My new Sunseeker 2300 came with a Magnadyne M4. Great radio with navigation, ipod interface, weather band, XM radio (with purchase of plug in adapter from XM) and DVD player with surround sound.

I read all the post about Concert One when I came to the site. I was worried about how mine would perform. I have not had one problem with it since I got it. It works fine for me, and I have used my Ipod, and connected my sat dish to it also.

I've had a Concerton since 2006 in 2 campers and had no problem. Had a problem with a Jenson speaker and my dealer took care of that very quickly.

It is always discouraging to read opening statements like this thread, but it is super encouraging when happy customers join in as you have done above. Thanks for being there for us (and me) and all potential customers should consider some of the evolution that has been discussed here. In addition, we are still the only company to offer true surround sound and bluetooth capability at this time. True that won't be the case forever (or potentially much longer) but rest assured we are already preparing to introduce more new features you will want and love when others introduce features we have already been offering for some time.

Mr. fields.

i did start this thread not because i don't want concertone but because i want a concertone product that works correctly. three years ago concertone would just send replacement after replacement.

if the product works first time out these threads will disappear. I will say that there are FAR FEWER complaints about concertone now then before you took over.

thanks

A Long Way To Go

I'm on the latest Concertone generation called the Genesis 3 after having the original unit replaced a year ago. This 2nd unit is now failing with a blue screen. When the unit operated it was nice, but really I think it is reasonable to expect it to work a little longer than a year. Bob was helpful with information particularly explaining that the warranty had expired at the end of the first year. Pretty interesting since the first unit didn't make it anywhere near that long and this 2nd one hasn't lasted a year either.

Fooling around with the warranty replacement cost me time and money to accomplish the first time. Now a year later the replacement is in the dumper. Make no mistake I will now make sure to the best of my ability to let people know that this product and manufacturer are not reliable and should be avoided at all costs. It is not about Bob.

I really don't have time to mess around with poor quality. Most certainly you couldn't get me to try for that third strike with Concertone. The sound system in my trailer is as important to me as the axels and roof are. It is not an afterthought, it was a key element of buying a new trailer to have these features.

I am now researching what I am going to replace this thing with and will advise how difficult or easy that is to do and what the final results are. I do product development for a living for a company that pays me well. I'm not inclinced to do it for Concertone and also pay them for the privilege.
