I have the manul from my Concertone and here is a phone number and location......574-389-1801.....725 Industrial Parkway, Elkart, In 46516.....Technical Assistance, Warranty, Part and Service...574-534-3167. My Concertone is in a 2006 Rockwood. I have my Concertone in my lap and I see that it was made in 2004 and installed in a 2006 camper, It is also manufactured in China. Read your Warranty on page 2, I have seen alot of members here on the Forum that have static or noise, according to the warranty it states that the warranty will not cover externally generated static or noise, to the correction of antenna generated noise or to the cost incurred to correct this noise.

Jensen makes three models of 12 volt Radio/CD/DVD units that will perform the same functions as the Concertone. Thay are, however, different in size and shape. Jensen models are wider and shorter than Concertone. Cabinet mod would be needed.

Model numbers:

MP5000
AWM960
AWM970

I have an 06 Flagstaff and have already replaced the Concertone monitor with an LCD HDTV. When the ZX500 dies (it's starting to get sick), I'm looking at one of these Jensen models for replacement.

I tried to find out more about Concertone for all that is having problems. I called the first number I posted...574-389-1801, this number will connect you to the Forest River Electronics Dept, no one pick up just a recording, closed on Saturday. I called the second number...574-534-3167, no one picked up at all. Then I called my dealer and spoke to the service dept, according to them, Concertone is made strickly for Forest River and no one else and Concertone is a seprate company form Forest River and my dealer is not aware of any other products that are made by Concertone or any Webb site that is avaible. My suggestion is to find somthing else after your warranty is up. I do not have any problems with mine, because it has been removed and stored in a cabinet in the garage and I would not think of selling it, It may be worth mony some day. Good luck with your Concertone.

I am with you 100%, you think that Forest River would comply with it's customers and pay attention to the problems people are having and make an attempt but it's all about the momey, it is what ever they can get away with as far as I am concerned. So beware the next Forest River you buy, you can bet it will have a Concertone in it.

I thought class action suits were the norm in the USA and would think a lawyer would jump on this issue

So, we have had our Rockwood now for 2 months. Took it out a few weeks ago and before we left, one of the surround speakers started thumping. My dh disconnected the speaker and when we got back from our trip, took it to the dealer for warranty repair. We assumed it was the speaker that needed to be replaced but we picked it up today and it was the concertone system that needed to be replaced and not the speaker. I was hoping we wouldn't be one of the lucky ones with the problem concertone, but I guess I get to join the club now!

We got the LCD TV included with the trailer but were wondering if there is a way to turn the volume on the tv on and not have it go through the surround sound? At night around the campfire we would like to be able to listen to the radio on the outside speakers while the kids are inside watching a movie. It looks like the LCD has speakers, why can't we get sound to come out?

Andrea

the lcd is only hooked up with a video connection about the only easy way is to go buy or hook up a seperate dvd player to the tv direct. the tv lifts straight up off the mount if its the same as mine then just run the three stadard rc plugs to the tv from the dvd and the sound from the tv will work leaving the stero for the adults

WalMart has some DVD players for under $40.
Get one of them and if you boondock you also can get a little
inverter for $25 or so.
We can power our LCD tv and a small DVD player using one of the
inverters.
Of course if you camp with hookups all you need is another player.
Or just bring a portable radio/cd player and set it outside with you!
Too many options...........

My outside speakers sound like crap. I donno if it's the speakers or
the #$@#&*! concertone that's doing it.
