We recently purchased a Forest River travel trailer that is equipped with a Concertone ZX600. However, we did not receive a manual/instructions on how to work the unit. Any chance someone knows where we can get a manual, or could someone give us some basic (easy to follow) "how to" directions? We tried the manufacture direct, but have not heard back from them. Any help would be appreciated! Lee
You can e-mail concertone from their web site and they will send you the file. That is what I had to do

Where did you aquire these? I've been hunting all over for PDF versions of manuals to the TT but have so far come up with just a couple. Having a manual for the Genesis in PDF would be awesome... Even if it's just a big pamphlet.
I'd really be interested in plumbing and electrical schematics like I have for the Winnebago, too.

Chris,
Me too. Laugh my butt off funny.
You will never see a "true" wiring diagram for your travel trailer because the are all wired with the same technique. They have giant rolls of different gauge twin wires and home run everything.
A brief Internet search on your make and model appliance will "normally" get you PDF manuals for the appliances. The frame has a manufacturer (other than FR) and mine was Lippert. You can get PDFs of the slides and landing gear that way. Each item, like the water pump and axles, has a name plate and you can get PDF manuals from those manufacturers.
As to model specific manuals... There ain't any.
Just a generic "book" that came with a new one.

Well, that does make some sense I suppose.
Do you ever update your old manuals?
Any chance of a manual for the new unit?
I would like to actually see the "pig in the poke" before I upgrade.

Hi Bob,
How about some info about the Genesis. Your website makes no mention of it yet it appears to be one of your products.
Going through the manual, I appreciate the screen shots but without detailed explanations of the feature, it's just redundant information, I can see that stuff on my screen.
Btw, thanks for participating in this forum. I know that the flak can get a bit thick at times, but you appear to be a good sport.
Chris - Have been unsuccessful getting an answer from Bob regarding the surround sound issue with my Genesis 3.0. He's said he has e-mailed me, but so far nothing has come to my inbox in either of the two addresses I've given him. We're camping this weekend. The radio works, I can use my iPod, etc., the TV works, but I can't figure out how to get the surround sound working. It's very frustrating. Yes, there is a manual, but nothing in this book says anything about surround sound. I admit that I'm not very "sound system savvy," but this should be simply to figure out, shouldn't it???

Hiya,
Everything is working well for me with the Genesis so far. I've looked at several DVD's (both commercial and home brewed) that played decent 5.1 surround. If you're trying for surround from the TV I'm guessing the dealer is wiring that wrong when they hang the flat screen. I think I read somewhere that the TV analog audio outs are passed to Aux1 on the Genesis. I know that my XM receiver is tied to Aux2 and working well. The thing is, until I get it all off the wall, I can't tell you where the mistakes have been made.
Here is the way my system appears to be wired right now:
Video from the Genesis to the AV input on the TV (note, not HD)
Audio (5.1) being handled by the Genesis to the speakers for DVD
Audio (music) being handled by the Genesis for Radio and Aux inputs
Changes I will make:
Audio from TV to Genesis via digital (Toslink) connection for 5.1
Video from Genesis to TV via HDMI to TV's HDMI1 input
I will remove the current Video connection from Genesis to TV's AV input
And then I will drop the TV's other HDMI port to the cabinet beneath for "other stuff".
That will allow DVD's to be properly upscaled to 720p at the TV set and allow the TV send off the air 5.1 to the Genesis for decoding and playback.
Will it sound and look better? Well, it's camp, so I'll be happy with a measure of improvement.
I think it's going to rain all afternoon so, I'll let you know how I make out.
Thanks to all that responded to our request for the Concertone ZX600 manual! Lucky for us, Concertone also replied and sent us a PDF of the manual...kudos to Concertone for the quick response! According to many of the comments in the forum, many have not had such positive results...hopefuly, things will get better for all of you. Lee & Donna P.S. We are anxiously looking forward to our first trip in our trailer, but want to continue to work out the "bugs" before we take-off. Again, thanks to all that responded - have never participated in this type of on-line messaging...I am impressed!
