Concertone Reads NO DISC when disc is inserted

My fiance and I just purchased a 2007 Rockwood 2605 which is equipped with the Concertone ZX500. When we put a DVD in to watch it reads "NO DISC" on the digital screen. Has anyone else experienced this problem? or have any solutions?

A copied DVD or original?

If a copy, some will read a CD-R but not a CD-RW.

No, these are DVD's right out of the box. I guess maybe the reader on the player is bad or something?

for some reason mine wont play SAW 2???
i think there is a coding glitch somewheres, when wally world buys a gazillion of em at a time.

i have taken a few back and exchanged them for the same movie but in a different box and viola it worked....all but SAW2 ???

I had an experience lately with not being able to read and burn some DVD's on my computer. It was intermittent working one day and not another. Before spending the dough on a new DVD player/burner I tried a DVD disc cleaner. This cleaner looks just like a disc with some extra little brushes on its surface and can be purchased just about anywhere including Wal-Mart. Might be worth a shot.
